This week we welcomed Dorothy House Hospice Fundraiser, Chelsea, to our Westbury Office to present a cheque to the charity for a fantastic £6,100.
Sam and Owen raised more than £1100 with their September Skydive, braving the leap from the sky above Wiltshire from 10,000ft. Despite some pre-jump nerves they both thoroughly enjoyed the exhilarating experience whilst raising much-needed funds to support Dorothy House’s vital work in our local community.
Back in June the Gooding Accounts team hosted a Charity Golf Day at Cumberwell Park in support of Dorothy House. The sun shone, and more than 20 teams enjoyed a fabulous day of golf, raising £5000 to support the charity which is a lifeline to families across Wiltshire.
Both the Golf Day and Skydive were part of Gooding Accounts 10 year anniversary Charity Challenge. Throughout 2024 the team have taken on a range of personal and team challenges alongside supporting events organised by the firm in their bid to raise at least £50,000 for local charities. As the end of the year approaches the team have just one more event to complete before we announce the final total – watch this space for the news in mid-December!
The charity provides palliative and end of life care to adults (18+) with a progressive, treatable but not curable life-limiting illness or with severe frailty, and supporting their family and carers.
The services they provide are completely free of charge and are available day and night, ensuring the right care is provided at the right time across their 800sq mile catchment area.
