We’re sorry to announce that the 92 in 92 Challenge has been postponed. The team are really disappointed not to be able to complete the challenge, originally scheduled for May, to honor Stephen’s memory. Rest assured they are all fully committed committed to finding an alternative date in the Autumn.
Any donations made so far will still count towards the total raised for Muscular Dystrophy UK when the challenge is rescheduled later in the year.
Watch this space for revised dates to follow!
The challenge will begin at Plymouth Argyle FC, travelling across the South of the UK, then visiting every single London Football League club before heading North. Sleeping and driving in shifts the fabulous five hope celebrate completing the challenge by returning to the ground of Stephen’s home team, Swindon Town FC. The journey will see them cover more than 2200 miles across the country raising at least £5000 for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
Stephen passed away without warning due to sudden heart failure caused by Muscular Dystrophy. He left behind a wife and two young children along with a wide circle of friends. His loss has had a huge effect on all his family and friends, but Stephen’s close friends are looking to turn the negative of such a painful loss into a positive by raising vital funds to help those suffering with the same condition.
If you’d like to follow their progress the team will be documenting their journey on Facebook and Instagram, and they’ll also have some fantastic football prizes to auction along the way.
A huge thank you to our supporters Trowbridge Ford, for supplying team vehicle, and Millard Signs & Graphics who have printed the signage for the car.
