It was an early start for Sam and Owen as they joined fellow fundraisers at Old Sarum Airfield in Salisbury to free-fall from the sky at speeds of more than 100mph all to raise vital funds for local charity Dorothy House Hospice.
Following a briefing the fearless duo took to the sky above Wiltshire in a tiny plane for the exhilarating experience. Asked whether he was nervous Owen answered;
“Whilst we were waiting to be called I started to get more nervous, but once I was in the plane I was ready to go! It was such an amazing experience, and the adrenaline after the jump was incredible. Best of all we’ve raised a fantastic amount for a very deserving cause.”
Owen and Sam braved the 10,000ft Skydive as part of the Gooding Accounts 10 year anniversary celebrations. The practice has pledged to raise at least £50,000 for local charities by the end of 2024 with a series of personal and team challenges in combination with a programme of events orgainsed by the firm. Now in it’s 9th month the team are well on the way to their target with over £43,000 donated to date and plenty still to follow over the next few months with a Quiz Night, Christmas Auction and Sportsman’s Dinner.

Services are provided completely free of charge 24-7 for people across Wiltshire, Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset. They understand that life can be turned upside down when someone is ill, not only for individual, but also for family, friends and carers – so support is available for everyone!
Without donations of £10 million every year the charity would not be able to supply its’ outstanding care to the community. The funds raised from Gooding Accounts’ Golf Day at Cumberwell Park will de donated to support this fantastic charity.
